Student of the Month

In October, we were looking for a student with good attendance.  The winner of Student of the Month is Kilian A..

Kilian is enrolled in both Kumon Math and Reading.  He has a great record of arriving on time and completing his work promptly.  Kilian will receive a Captain American action figure.

Student of the Month

After a hectic September, we are getting back on track with Student of the Month.  Back in August, we were looking for a student who remembered his/her scheduled class day and time.  The winner of the Dory plush doll is Navaeh S.

Navaeh has been doing the Kumon Reading program and has a good record of showing up on her class days, at her scheduled time and finishing her class work within the perscribed 30 minutes.

For October, we will continue our search for students who regularly attend class as scheduled.  Student schedules will be posted, so everyone should know their schedule.  If you want to change your schedule, let us know.  The winner of the Student of the Month will receive a Captain America action figure.

Student of the Month

In July, we were looking for a student who completed their homework and properly recorded their times.  The winner of the Kylo Ren action figure is Miles C..

Miles is a ‎grade 2 student who has been learning grade 4 math on level C. He has achieved this remarkable progress through tireless daily work since January of 2015. Thanks to his mother who supports him and his sister daily through home marking and corrections, Miles has not only progressed ahead academically but also become a stronger learner on advanced materials. Now instead of shedding tears on new concepts, Miles courageously and patiently tries to learn them.

For August, the Student of the Month will be selected among those students who remember to come at their scheduled class days and times. If not sure about scheduled class days and times, please ask Ms. Ran  The winner will receive a Dory plush doll.

Student of the Month

In June, we were looking for a student with good classroom behaviors.  The winner of Student of the Month is Jericho C.

Jericho, a grade 5 reading student who has been with Kumon since kindergarten. He is currently working on grade 7 level reading (FI). He has been always very conscious of his classroom behavior. He demonstrates all desirable behaviors and reminds others to do the same.

Student of the Month

In May, we were working on getting everyone checking in and out of the class properly. Kaitlin F. has been chosen to win a Judy Hopps plush doll not only because she always scans her Student Tag when she arrives and before she leaves but also because she has always been a role model in work completion and independent learning.

For June, the Student of the Month will be selected among those consistently displaying proper classroom behaviours.  The winner will receive a Nick Wilde plush doll.

Ms. Katlyn’s Reading Challenge Winner – April 2016

The winner of the mountable bicycle-light is Bosco L.! 

Bosco was chosen for enthusiastically reading more books than required and for independently completing the book tracker questions to the best of his abilities, including drawing detailed pictures, and using grade-appropriate sentence structures and vocabulary. Congratulations, Bosco!

Ms. Katlyn’s Reading Challenge!

April’s Student of the Month will be selected from the students who complete Ms. Katlyn’s Reading Challenge. It is open to all Kumon students to participate, in both the Math and Reading Programs.  Students must sign up with Ms. Katlyn during the first week of April (1 – 7).
