Student of the Month

In October, we were looking for a student with good attendance.  The winner of Student of the Month is Kilian A..

Kilian is enrolled in both Kumon Math and Reading.  He has a great record of arriving on time and completing his work promptly.  Kilian will receive a Captain American action figure.

Changes to Reading Levels G-H-I

Kumon is constantly striving to refine their learning techniques and material.  Today Kumon announces changes to Reading Levels G, H and I.  The changes are designed to give students more opportunity for reading and smoother progress.

Very soon new worksheets will be available to students in these levels  The transition will be seamless.

Student of the Month

After a hectic September, we are getting back on track with Student of the Month.  Back in August, we were looking for a student who remembered his/her scheduled class day and time.  The winner of the Dory plush doll is Navaeh S.

Navaeh has been doing the Kumon Reading program and has a good record of showing up on her class days, at her scheduled time and finishing her class work within the perscribed 30 minutes.

Keep up the good work, Navaeh!

For October, we will continue our search for students who regularly attend class as scheduled.  Student schedules will be posted, so everyone should know their schedule.  If you want to change your schedule, let us know.  The winner of the Student of the Month will receive a Captain America action figure.

Inspirational Student Stories

Has your child reached Level J in the Kumon Math or Reading Program by the 6^th grade? Is he or she on track to reaching this milestone in Kumon? As you may know, students who reach “J by 6” are well on their way to program completion and well prepared for high-school material. We would love to hear about your child’s remarkable Kumon journey.

Kumon North America is now accepting nominations for our 2017 Inspirational Student Stories contest! Tell us how your child’s Kumon experience has contributed to amazing things he or she is doing inside or outside of school. Finalists will be featured in brand new Kumon student success videos and qualify for an all-expenses paid trip to Orlando, Florida!

Here are some of the exciting contest details:     

·         Five finalists throughout North America will receive a $100.00 USD Visa^© gift card.

·         Each finalist will be featured in a short-length video on Kumon.com. 

·         One finalist will be invited to speak at the Kumon Instructors Conference (July 2017) where his or her video will premiere.

·         The selected finalist and his or her parents (if a minor) will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the conference in Orlando, Florida!

The short-length videos will also be featured in several media forms, such as Kumon’s YouTube channel andFacebook pages, to name a few!

Level Up Winners for July

Congratulations to Bella D. and Anthony B.!

They have each won a $25 Cineplex Gift Card for moving up a level and keeping up with their Kumon over the summer.

There will be another draw at the end of August for two more gift card.   Keep working to complete your level and good luck.

Student of the Month

In July, we were looking for a student who completed their homework and properly recorded their times.  The winner of the Kylo Ren action figure is Miles C..

Miles is a ‎grade 2 student who has been learning grade 4 math on level C. He has achieved this remarkable progress through tireless daily work since January of 2015. Thanks to his mother who supports him and his sister daily through home marking and corrections, Miles has not only progressed ahead academically but also become a stronger learner on advanced materials. Now instead of shedding tears on new concepts, Miles courageously and patiently tries to learn them.

Keep up the good work, Miles!

For August, the Student of the Month will be selected among those students who remember to come at their scheduled class days and times. If not sure about scheduled class days and times, please ask Ms. Ran  The winner will receive a Dory plush doll.

Student of the Month

In June, we were looking for a student with good classroom behaviors.  The winner of Student of the Month is Jericho C.

Jericho, a grade 5 reading student who has been with Kumon since kindergarten. He is currently working on grade 7 level reading (FI). He has been always very conscious of his classroom behavior. He demonstrates all desirable behaviors and reminds others to do the same.

Keep up the good work, Jericho!

For July, the Student of the Month will be selected among those who complete all their July homework and properly record their times.  The winner will receive a Kylo Ren action figure.

Student of the Month

In May, we were working on getting everyone checking in and out of the class properly. Kaitlin F. has been chosen to win a Judy Hopps plush doll not only because she always scans her Student Tag when she arrives and before she leaves but also because she has always been a role model in work completion and independent learning.

Keep up the good work, Kaitlin!

For June, the Student of the Month will be selected among those consistently displaying proper classroom behaviours.  The winner will receive a Nick Wilde plush doll.

Ms. Katlyn’s Reading Challenge Winner – April 2016

The winner of the mountable bicycle-light is Bosco L.! 

Bosco was chosen for enthusiastically reading more books than required and for independently completing the book tracker questions to the best of his abilities, including drawing detailed pictures, and using grade-appropriate sentence structures and vocabulary. Congratulations, Bosco!

Ms. Katlyn’s Reading Challenge!

April’s Student of the Month will be selected from the students who complete Ms. Katlyn’s Reading Challenge. It is open to all Kumon students to participate, in both the Math and Reading Programs.  Students must sign up with Ms. Katlyn during the first week of April (1 – 7).

Classes Resume

Hope everyone had a great Spring Break and Easter.  Kumon classes resume today (March 29).  Please come to the center according to your scheduled class times.
